Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has been banned from the popular GTA NoPixel server for an unspecified period of time.
xQc’s ban came after the Twitch star drove his car over other roleplayers. According to Dexerto, the Canadian Twitch streamer was told that hitting other roleplayers with his car was “against the rules” in the exclusive lobby.
NoPixel and other GTA roleplaying servers have made impressive comebacks to Twitch in the past few weeks, spearheaded by Summit1g, xQc, and other popular personalities. Following the decline of Rust, xQc has become a server regular.
Just like Rust, the GTA lobby initially appeared to be an ideal place for xQc to show off his wild personality. He soon became a rogue player, who ran from the cops and scammed other players while roleplaying. as part of his get-rich-quick plots ill-judged schemes.
Much to his chagrin, the Twitch star was locked out of the server on Feb. 22, after multiple instances where he ran his car over other roleplayers and fled – called VDM (vehicle deathmatch) in RP circles over the past few days.
xQc repeatedly tried to log in but to no avail. “Well… okay, yeah, they really did ban me,” he said. “That’s f**king… okay?”
He was banned from NoPixel on Feb. 22 during his stream, and as a result, had to switch to playing Minecraft .xQc claims he wasn’t aware of the rules when he began striking other roleplayers with his car and didn’t expect his action to lead to a ban.
“Yeah, I broke the rules, I said I wouldn’t do any more “VDM” and people know that though. I showed all the signs, legitimately, genuinely, that it was bad or you couldn’t do it in the way that I did it,” he said. “I didn’t know you couldn’t ram [other players] in that context.”
“Whatever I did, I admitted to it. Yeah, I broke the rules. I said, ‘If I do this again, I’ll park my car in the middle of the road, instead of driving them into other cars’.”
He was silent for a moment before adding, “rules are broken every minute there.”
The initial ‘NoPixel’ ban message indicated it was permanent, but there is a possibility that xQc will be able to get unbanned in the near future. He was called to attend a meeting with the GTA server moderators to talk about his “VDM” stunts and multiple metagaming accusations he made against Summit1g over the weekend.
The ban urged him to “talk with staff,” however, it is unclear whether or not he has reached out to the NoPixel mods yet. He did suggest on-stream that he would contact them in the next few days. Watch this space for more updates on xQc’s GTA RP ban, which appears to be permanent for now.
