Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is sparing no effort to strike a perfect balance between her life and her streaming schedule.
As a result, the YouTube star has decided to stream less to do other things aside from streaming. Valkyrae has been streaming for about 8 years now, as per a Dexerto report.
She has more than a whopping 3.7 million subscribers. The fan-favorite 100 Thieves streamer is also a recipient of TGA’s Content Creator of the Year Award.
However, there is a myriad of other activities aside from streaming that keep her busy. So, she is understandably considering reducing her Livestream hours.
After moving to YouTube from Twitch, Rae has been focusing more on gaming content since hosting IRL streams is considerably harder on the Google-owned platform.
In a recent broadcast, Rae brought this up by stating, “on YouTube, there’s an extra step the IRL backpack has to go through.”
“And it’s just, the delay is too much. Reading chat is unbearable for me. I can’t even communicate with chat when I IRL stream,” she added.
Despite the efforts it takes to play games on broadcast, she says that she enjoys the job. However, Rae added that she is trying to find balance while expanding her horizons.
“Some people think I don’t like streaming — I do like streaming. It’s just, I’m trying to do other things with my life now.”
She even opened up about her burnout from streaming: “We’ve been full time streamers for over eight years. And when we first started streaming, I had multiple jobs and streamed nine hours a day every single day.”
Rae may consider returning to streaming her usual hours, provided she finds something new and enjoyable again like Valorant and Among Us.
“I think once there’s a really really fun game that I’m excited to play, I’ll over stream a bit? As of right now, there isn’t anything new or exciting for me.”
However, this doesn’t mean Valkyrae will be making less content. “I don’t have to make YouTube videos, but I’ve been enjoying it. So I’m just trying to do things that I enjoy, balancing and stuff.”
