Last year, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for $48.4 million at RM Sotheby’s auctions, making it officially the most expensive car. The car belonged to one of the 36 units that were ever manufactured. In brand new condition, the Ferrari 250 GTO usually retails for about $18,000.

This 209 MM sold for a staggering sum of $28 million back in 2015. The auction was organized by RM Sotheby’s classic car auction company.
This Juan Manuel Fangio-driven car finished fourth in the 156 Mille Miglia race. Bearing the post-nominal initials ‘MM,’ which referred to Mille Miglia, Ferrari had quite a few of them for the same race.
