Hudson Valley residents that have ever thought how it’s like to be a part of Storage Wars are in for a treat.
For those unaware, A&E hit series Storage Wars centers on professional bidders hailing from various parts of the country.
These treasure hunters asses a slew of different items kept in abandoned storage lockers and try to sell them in a bid to make profits.
Storage companies retain ownership of everything stored in a storage locker if someone doesn’t pay their bill.
Next off, these companies get rid of the unit’s unwanted contents by inviting the public to an auction and auctioning off everything in the storage locker to the highest bidder.
The challenge these bidders usually face is not having enough time to take a gander at what’s inside the locker before bidding on items.
These bidders are not allowed inside the locker, enter the unit or even view items that are kept inside boxes.
As a result, those interested in getting their hands on the hidden treasure can only hazard a guess about the value of the items they are willing to buy.
A Storage War style auction is slated to take place on January 29th in the Hudson Valley.
The UPS Store in Wappingers Falls, situated off Myers Corner Road, behind Hannaford putting up abandoned storage lockers for sale to the highest bidder.
Those interested can get in touch with A Space To Place Storage on their official Facebook Page.
