Seth ‘Scump’ Abner has established himself as one of the world’s best SMG players in Call of Duty’s history, but here’s who the CoD “King” considers as the SMG players of all time.
Scump played a vital role in building the Green Wall, securing X Games gold, winning a World Championship ring, and taking home trophies at multiple events along the road.
During his journey, Scump has adopted the role of an aggressive SMG player. His career will definitely be considered as one of the greatest of all time, who else matches his presence on any given map?
On the latest OpTic podcast, he opened up about Cuyler ‘Huke’ Garland’s move to the LA Thieves. he praised the “generational talent” who is now under Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag’s banners.
He went on to reveal a shortlist of who he thinks are the best SMG players. “I consider [Huke] probably Top 3 – Top 4 Sub of all time,” Scump said.
He has played against Huke during his CoD career, spending enough time in the same lobby to know how good he really is. Despite being fairly young, Scump says he has done enough to place himself among the best ever.
“Huke is up there,” he said.
The King’s list was also graced by former Luminosity Gaming MVP Johnathon ‘John’ Perez. While the former World Champ is currently fighting it out in the Challengers scene, Scump described him as an all-time great SMG slayer.
Aside from recognizing his own accomplishments, Scump added two more names to his list – Atlanta FaZe’s ‘Tiny Terrors’ duo of Chris ‘Simp’ Lehr, 20, and Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris, 21.
The young prodigies will eventually go down as all-time great SMG players, according to Scump. It is worth mentioning here this is not a definitive list set in stone forever as new names could emerge and veterans could always attract a lot of attention.
Scump is slated to go toe-to-toe with two of the aforesaid players in the near future. OpTic Chicago takes on Atlanta FaZe as CDL Dallas Home Series continues.
