Samsung is gearing up to unveil the much-awaited Galaxy S25 Ultra within four months, but the rumour mill is already churning out some key details about its features.
The most significant uncertainty surrounding Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone is its design, rumoured to undergo a substantial transformation. Although specific design details haven’t been leaked, you can anticipate it to be an exceptionally slender device, as the dimensions of the Galaxy S25 Ultra have been revealed.
Sleek Design And Dimensions
Tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) recently disclosed on X (formerly Twitter) that the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s dimensions are 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm. If accurate, this information suggests that the Galaxy S24 Ultra successor will be among the thinnest flagship smartphones introduced in 2025.

However, the Galaxy S25 Ultra won’t surpass the Galaxy S6 in terms of slimness, as the latter achieved a mere 7mm thickness. Here is the comparison of the dimensions of all Samsung flagship smartphones released over the past five years:
- Galaxy S20 Ultra: 166.9 x 76.0 x 8.8 mm
- Galaxy S21 Ultra: 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm
- Galaxy S22 Ultra: 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9 mm
- Galaxy S23 Ultra: 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.9 mm
- Galaxy S24 Ultra: 162.3 x 79.0 x 8.6 mm
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm
If online rumours prove true, the device will feature titanium side rails and incorporate some form of Gorilla Glass protection on both the front and rear. It is likely to be dust—and water-resistant and includes an in-display fingerprint reader.
The tipster further revealed that Samsung will continue to use 45W fast charging for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, following the precedent set by the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which was introduced in 2020.

Powerful Camera System
The upcoming phone will also retain the same 5,000mAh battery capacity as its predecessors. Samsung isn’t contemplating any battery hardware enhancements for the following year.
It’s noteworthy that Samsung has achieved a thinner device while enhancing the camera system. Previous reports indicate that the Galaxy S25 Ultra boasts a 200MP primary rear camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, two 50MP telephoto cameras, and a 12MP selfie camera. The device will initially operate on Android 15-based One UI 7.1 software and could receive seven years of Android OS updates.
