Some official-looking Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 renders have surfaced online ahead of launch. Samsung is prepping to host its Unpacked 2023 event in Korea next month.
The Korean brand is expected to unveil the fifth iteration of Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip during the event. In the meantime, tipster SnoopyTech has shared renders of Samsung’s next-gen foldable phones and their entire specifications.

Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 resembles its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It houses a mammoth triple-camera setup on the rear panel and a punch-hole camera cutout in the display. The device has minimal bezels. Moreover, the right edge houses the volume rockers and the power button.

However, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 doesn’t seem to bear a striking resemblance to last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 4. Upfront, it has a big cover screen just like the Moto Razr+. The front panel has a horizontally stacked dual-camera module. Also, the device has flat sides central punch-hole cutout on the main display.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 sports a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 2176 x 1812 pixels. It offers up to 120Hz dynamic refresh rate that can go down as low as 1Hz, according to a report by XDA Developers.
Also, it will sport a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED outer display with 2316 x 904 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Under the hood, it will pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. This processor will be paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
Furthermore, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will use a 4400mAh battery and carry an IPX8 rating for water resistance. The device will run Android 13 with One UI 5.1.1 on top. For optics, it will feature a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP telephoto shooter on the back.
There’s a 4MP under-display camera on the inside and a 10MP selfie camera on the outside. The phone reportedly measures 6.71 cm x 15.49 cm x 1.34 cm and weighs 253 grams. Lastly, it is expected to come in three color options including Icy Blue, Phantom Black, and Cream.

Now, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED main display with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate. Moreover, the phone delivers a 2640 x 1080 pixel resolution. There’s a 3.4-inch 748 x 720 secondary display on the outside, as well.
Moreover, the phone will get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset along with 8GB of RAM. Aside from this, it will be available in 265GB and 512GB storage options. For optics, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature a 12MP main camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor on the outside.
There’s a 10MP selfie camera on the inside. Also, the phone will use a 3,700mAh battery to draw its juices and run Android 13 out of the box. The Flip 5 will be reportedly available in Graphite, Cream, Mint, and Lavender colorways. It will be 7.19 cm long, 8.51 cm high, and 1.51 cm thick.
