Samsung knows how to stay ahead of time. After surprising the international markets with its Flip-screen smartphones this year, the company is working on a Tri-folding smartphone.
According to LetsGoDigital, the South Korean company recently filed up an extensive patent for a new foldable smartphone. The company filed the patent with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization).
Samsung Working On A Tri-Fold Smartphone
The latest smartphone will have a display that will bend in a ‘Z’ format. Recently, new patents were revealed which show more details about the new range of smartphones.
Moreover, the newest tri-fold phones will feature three separate screens that can unfold into one single widescreen. The single-screen will have a seamless display.
In addition to this, this smartphone also features two hinges. One hinge folds inward while the other hinge folds outward which forms the “Z” shape.
Apart from this, there are going to be some interesting features. This tri-fold model will reportedly arrive with S Pen support, an under-display camera, an HDMI connector, and much more.
Recently, Huawei gave a heads-on competition to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 3. The Chinese company has launched its foldable P50 Pocket which has a foldable display. It comes in two color variants similar to its competitor, Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Furthermore, Huawei’s clamshell-inspired phone will be available only in the Chinese markets for now. So, it will be interesting to see the response to P50 Pocket.
