The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is likely to launch in the first week of February 2023, according to a Samsung Electronics executive.
“The S23 series will be shown during our own Unpacked event in the United States, which will be held in February,” the source told Korea JoongAng Daily.
While the exec did not reveal the exact date, the report suggests the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event will take place in the first week of February in San Francisco.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Series Launch Timeline
The Galaxy S23 lineup is expected to include Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra. A set of leaked Galaxy S23 Ultra design renders suggests the upcoming flagship smartphone will resemble its predecessor.
Moreover, the Ultra model will reportedly house a 200MP primary camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera on the back. In addition to this, the handset will have two 10MP telephoto sensors with 3x and 10x optical zoom, respectively.
The handset will sport a 6.6-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, it will use a 4700mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging support.
The vanilla Galaxy S23 model will feature a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will reportedly pack a 3900mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging along with 15W wireless charging support.
Both handsets have flat screens with hole-punch cut-outs at the top center for the front-mounted camera. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will power up all three models.
The Galaxy S23 might ship with 8GB of RAM and offer up to 256GB of onboard storage. The other two models will likely come with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the flagship phones with a 32MP selfie camera. Lastly, the phone will boot the latest Android 13 update and have a layer of One UI 5.0 on top.
