Saints Row, an upcoming action-adventure game and reboot of the Saints Row series, is scheduled for release in 2022. The game is set in a fictional city in the southwestern U.S. called “Santo Ileso”.

Volition, the developer team, has revealed the release date along with a cinematic trailer and a small tease of gameplay. The debut trailer for the Saints Row Reboot received more dislikes on YouTube, and fans were unhappy with the new direction for the game.

However, the developers said that they were not backing down on the game after the backlash. The developers also confirmed that the reboot will get at least three post-launch DLCs. The company has termed them as “episodes.”

The reboot takes the franchise back to its roots. Topping the whole “fighting off an alien invasion as the POTUS” is a bit of a hard job.

The game is set for release on both consoles and PC, and it is confirmed as a cross-gen title. Also, it was confirmed that the Saints Row reboot will be available on PC exclusively through the Epic Games Store.

Recently, Epic Games Store made a surprise announcement that Saints Row: The Third would be available for free on the storefront until September 2. This is one of many Epic’s big exclusivity deals as previously, they were able to bag Hitman 3 as a timed exclusive on PC.

The reboot will have the following editions: Saints Row Standard Edition, Saints Row Notorious Edition (GameStop Exclusive).  Saints Row Gold Edition (Digital Only), Saints Row Platinum Edition (Digital Only), and Saints Row Preorder Bonus. Each of these editions will provide the gamer unique features.

The Saints Row reboot is scheduled to release on 25 February 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
