Taking to its official Twitter account on Saturday, OnePlus tested the launch of a new OnePlus TV.
OnePlus’ new television is slated to be unveiled at a launch event on May 24. The announcement is accompanied by a teaser photo suggesting that the OnePlus TV 40Y1 will feature a 40-inch display with a bezel-less design.

While the launch event will not be hosted for TV, pricing and availability details of the OnePlus TV 40Y1 are likely to be unveiled on Flipkart and the OnePlus India website around 12 pm today.

The OnePlus TV 40Y1 has also been teased on Flipkart. Like its predecessors, the new TV will also be an Android TV and will offer a 93.8 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and an FHD+ resolution.
The OnePlus TV 40Y1 is expected to boast features similar to the 43-inch model, according to FirstPost. Size and availability are the only difference between the currently available OnePlus TV 32Y1 / 43Y1 and the upcoming OnePlus TV 40Y1.
The TV will pack an unknown 64-bit chipset and offer 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. According to GizmoChina, it will run outdated Android TV 9.0 Pie operating system with OxygenPlay content aggregation service.

Moreover, the TV will support all the leading streaming services, as well as Amazon Alexa, ogle Assistant, and Google Chromecast. As far as connectivity is concerned, the TV only features Bluetooth 5.0 and single-band WiFi.
It will feature all other essential ports such as Ethernet, 3-in-1 AV composite, optical digital audio port, 2 x USB, RF, and 2 x HDMI. It will also have 2 x 10W (20W) speakers with Dolby Audio support and come with a voice-enabled OnePlus TV remote control (RC-002B).
