‘League of Legends’ Devs Set To Disable Yuumi, Milio At MSI 2023

League of Legends developers, Riot Games will disable new champions Milio and Yuumi for their Mid-Season Invitational event for 2023.

Riot Games Mid-Season Invitational is right around the corner. The American video game developer invites each region’s best teams to a major event that all fans can see. This annual event matches the World’s final as far as magnitude is concerned.

It is worth noting that Riot Games spares no effort to ensure League of Legends is in a balanced state for top-quality competition. As part of this effort, the developer rolls out patches to fix any issues. However, it looks like Riot wants to take things to a whole new level this time around.

League of Legends devs will disable Milio and Yuumi for MSI 2023

Taking to its official Twitter account, Lol Esports announced that Milio and Yuumi will be disabled for play during MSI 2023. In other words, the recently introduced support and the magical cat won’t make an appearance at the event.

According to Riot, Yuumi will be disabled because her mid-scope update “isn’t quite ready for pro play”. So, the developers will be removing the magical cat to ensure it does not interrupt the event. Likewise, Riot has had multiple issues with Yuumi in the past. In fact, a Dexerto report claims it is one of the game’s most frustrating champions.

Despite rolling out its mid-scope update, Riot isn’t sure about Yuumi’s impact on the game. So, the devs have decided to leave her out rather than spoil the fun for others. Milio, who hails from Ixtal, was introduced into the game as the newest champion not long ago in Patch 13.6.

The enchanter keeps his friends warm and healthy by using fire. Regrettably, Milio isn’t enabled for professional play yet. It is also unclear when will Riot let him play. Watch this space for the latest esports news.
