League of Legends Cosplay: Akali is one of the most popular characters to cosplay. From her default skin to the mega-popular K/DA variant, cosplayers enjoy cosplaying this Ionian assassin.
An Italian cosplayer, Sweet Angel decided to cosplay the popular character as her most recent project.
She told fans on her website that though it was a simple costume it did require a lot more attention and time than she had thought. She further added that it took about 100 hours to create the Akali cosplay and every bit of hard work and time that went into it.
From the handmade wig to the dress, and even Akali’s smoke bombs, Sweet Angel didn’t miss a beat. She also said that everything that the viewers saw was handmade and she sewed all of the fabrics together, stitched everything up, and made it tailored not only to herself but true to life to Akali’s design.
Sweet Angel even designed Akali’s signature Kana, using EVA foam so she can carry it around without too much hassle. She uploaded the cosplay on her Twitter account and wrote “We’re gonna do this my way, quick, and deadly.”
The official League of Legends account reacted to her cosplay by retweeting it. Her tweet was flooded with positive comments. The cosplay even attracted Riot Games’ attention.
