Samsung is radically overhauling the Galaxy Watch 4 by introducing improvements such as new OneUI features and more.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 has garnered more popularity among users than any other wearable device from the South Korean tech giant. Breathing new life into Google’s Wear OS, the new generation smartwatch brought Google apps and services to Samsung users. This was missing for a long time.
Following the launch, Samsung has been rolling out updates that enhance the overall user experience and bring new features. Now, a recently introduced Galaxy Watch 4 series update has added a slew of awe-inspiring features to the well-received smartwatch.
The new update brings features like new body composition insights, a new sleep coaching program, advanced interval training for cyclists and runners. Aside from that, it offers a wide range of customization options through new series of straps and upgraded watch faces.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Series Update
First off, the watch gets a new body composition update that offers more details about the users’ health progress. Moreover, the Samsung Health app integrates a digital fitness program curated by Chris Hemsworth to offer more body composition insights.
Moreover, the Galaxy Watch 4 now comes with a 30-day trial for full access to Centr. The new interval target feature enables runners and cyclists to pre-set the number of sets for their workout, distance, and duration.
In addition to that, Samsung supports Strava, Adidas Running, and other similar apps. Furthermore, sleep tracking will be receiving an update. The new sleep coaching program will help users to develop better sleep habits.
The watch will track sleep patterns over a week, and complete two related sleep surveys. Moreover, one of eight sleep symbol animals will represent the user’s sleep type.
Also, it will guide users through a 4-5 week-long coaching program that include meditation guidance, sleep-related articles, missions, checklists, and regular report to help users improve their sleep quality.
As soon as the user falls asleep, the watch automatically turns off Samsung SmartThings enabled lights. Samsung’s Health Monitor app is currently available in 43 regions worldwide. However, it is set to launch in 11 more countries including South Africa, Vietnam, and Canada in March.
As if that weren’t enough, a myriad of new watch faces and digital clock fonts have been added. Also, you will be able to get your hands on the new burgundy and cream stream color options. Moreover, the link bracelet and new fabric band will go on sale.
Galaxy Watch 4 Will Get Google Assistant
Samsung has been missing Google Assistant since its launch. However, the company recently confirmed that the Galaxy Watch 4 series will come with Google Assistant.
Also, the new update will enable users to stream over LTE or Wi-Fi from the YouTube Music app. The aforesaid update is currently available for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and you can get it from the Galaxy Wearable app.

The tech giant has assured a new update cycle for the recently unveiled Galaxy S22 series, as well as the Tab S8 series, and other devices. The new update cycle will see Samsung offering four generations of One UI.
