India’s first all-female CSGO squad is gearing up to participate in World Esports Championship Asian qualifiers.
The 15th WEC (World Esports Championships) is right around the corner, and qualified teams are prepping to compete in the event.
Notably, India’s all-female CSGO team is on the verge of making its international debut. The team will spare no effort in a bid to secure a spot in the 15th WEC and go toe-to-toe with popular teams from the continent,
The 15th WEC Asian qualifiers are slated to take place from July 15 to July 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The CSGO squad secured their spot in the Asian Qualifiers after beating other teams at the NESC (National Esports Championships) 2023 earlier this year.

In collaboration with the team’s coach Sabyasachi “Antidote” Bose, Sway will lead the charge. The 15th World Esports Championship is set to take place in Romania. On the first day, the team will be heading to group-stage matches against Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan.

Next, the team will compete with Australia, China, and Hong Kong, according to a report by MySmartPrice. The group stage matches will be played in a best-of-one format. However, the semifinals and grand finals will be played in a best-of-three format.
Five teams will qualify and the top two teams will head straight to the 15th WEC. The champions will walk away with a whopping $7000 in prize money (about ₹5,75,000). The second team will get $3,500 (about ₹2,87,00), while the third team will get $2,000 (about ₹164340).
On Thursday, India’s male CSGO squad began their qualifiers. India’s all-female CS: GO squad participants represent the nation. Also, they encourage other women to follow their aspirations in the esports and gaming industries.
Moreover, the 15th edition of WEC has a big prize pool of $500,000 (about ₹4.12 crore), which is probably the largest ever. Gamers from at least 130 nations across various esports titles like CS: GO, PUBG: Mobile, Mobile Legends, Tekken 7, and DOTA 2 will be participating.
