Elon Musk’s Sister Says Her Last Name Is A Blessing And A Curse

Elon Musk’s sister Tosca Musk says that she has been overcharged because she shares a last name with the world’s richest man.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Tosca Musk claimed that the Musk name was a “blessing and a curse.” Notably, the South African filmmaker noted that she was once given an inflated price for a film location.

‘The location was going to cost $5,000 a day,” she told the Daily Mail. “But when they heard my name and assumed we were rich, they decided to charge us $25,000,” she added.

Does Elon Musk help his sister with her business?

“Everyone assumes my eldest brother pays for everything, but he does not,” she said, adding that it was a “double-edged sword” to reveal whether or not the Twitter CEO helps her with her business. The siblings also share another brother, Kimbal Musk, who is a philanthropist and a restaurateur.

According to Tosca, the “family wasn’t “born rich.” Tosca is the CEO and founder of a streaming service and production company for romantic movies, Passionflix. Moreover, she has been producing films for over twenty years and has contributed to over 55 movies to date.

However, she told the outlet that her last name is “mostly a blessing” and she would never be tempted to change it. Last month, Elon dethroned Bernard Arnault as the world’s richest person with a net worth of $233 billion, according to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index.

To recap, the SpaceX and Tesla CEO first claimed the title of the world’s wealthiest man in January 2021. He has since traded places with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Arnault.
