Elon Musk-Owned Tesla Goes The Extra Mile To Make Fan’s Final Wish Come True

Tesla, an Elon Musk-owned automotive company, made a special delivery for a Cybertruck customer battling stage 4 cancer, complete with a special presentation.

Tesla recently rolled out the red carpet for a Cybertruck reservation holder battling stage 4 cancer. Cybertruck Owners Club member Michael, who goes by the username Mrp11, shared his situation with the forum’s other members last month.

Michael, a loyal Tesla customer who already owns a Model 3, Tesla Solar panels, and Powerwall 2 home battery system, expressed concerns about taking delivery of his highly-anticipated Foundation Series Cybertruck due to his battle with stage 4 cancer.

Hoping to experience his dream truck sooner, Michael inquired about the possibility of expediting his Cybertruck reservation. Touched by Michael’s story, members of the Cybertruck Owners Club forum rallied in support. Some even generously offered to relinquish their own place in line for the Cybertruck delivery.

Encouraging Michael to take action, other forum members suggested he directly contact Tesla about his situation. In a positive turn of events, Michael announced on the forum that Tesla had responded favourably to his request. So, he can now look forward to taking delivery of his Cybertruck very soon.

Elon Musk’s Tesla steps up

“Without sharing too much, I will soon have a purchased delivery of my own. Well beyond expectations and for me significance I cannot really explain the worth,” the Tesla customer wrote in a post.

Michael divulged details about Tesla’s special efforts for his Cybertruck delivery in a mid-month update. Notably, Tesla brought the truck directly to his home. However, the surprise didn’t stop there!

Michael reported that several others joined his Cybertruck, some of them sporting Tesla’s official paint protection film. Here’s what Michael had to say:

“Today, I received my Cyberbeast via a very cool home delivery. Some of you may have seen my post about being a Cancer patient with a wish. Today was delivery day and Tesla made it very special. Far beyond what we could have imagined. Great people and Great Companies Do Great things. They don’t have to but they do.

“Here is how the home delivery went. Our new beast arrived plus support from a Rose Gold, a Black and another Stainless Cybertruck. They made a grand entrance, filled the driveway, and were there to address any new needs, concerns, or questions for as long as we wished.

“It made for an incredible event for which I will remember and cherish today forever. Thank you, Tesla, for making today so special,” the Tesla owner wrote.

Elon Musk responds to the story

Musk, known for embracing cryptocurrency like Dogecoin (which he announced as a payment option for Tesla merchandise in 2022), expressed his satisfaction with how things unfolded for Michael’s special Cybertruck handover.

Despite facing occasional criticism, Elon Musk-led Tesla has a long history of recognizing its most passionate fans. For instance, the Tesla community rallied around a terminally ill Model 3 reservation holder in 2017.

Fellow Tesla owners championed his cause, making it known that experiencing the new electric sedan was one of his final wishes. Tesla responded by expediting his reservation. The EV maker ensured he received his Model 3 early.

Unsurprisingly, the delivery was a special event, with many Tesla staff present to celebrate this emotional moment. This heartwarming story made him one of the first publicly known non-employee recipients of the Model 3, solidifying his place in Tesla’s history.
