Elon Musk says Bill Gates has a “limited understanding” of AI in response to an essay Microsoft founder published about the tech.
AI has taken the internet by storm with programs like ChatGPT gaining skyrocketing popularity. OpenAI’s recently unveiled AI chatbot can perform a wide range of tasks.
College students are using ChatGPT to write essays and a slew of other things. However, the use of AU on a broader scale through other ways hasn’t been discovered yet. Still, there are people who work with AI and it understands it better than most people.

Elon Musk believes Bill Gates is not one of those people. Taking to his Twitter account on March 27, the Twitter CEO said: “I remember the early meetings with Gates. His understanding of AI was limited. Still is.”
Elon Musk Criticizes Bill Gates’s Lack of AI Knowledge
The tweet comes days after Gates published his essay titled, The Age of AI has Begun. In the essay, Gates said ChatGPT is the second demonstration of technology that he thinks is “revolutionary.” To recap, Microsoft backed ChatGPT creator OpenAI with $1 billion back in 2019.
A couple of years ago, Musk stated that his conversations with Gates have always been underwhelming. Elon is clearly not a big Gates’ biggest fan. Since Gates is currently focusing more on his philanthropy projects, Elon has a chance to establish himself as a leader in artificial intelligence.
