Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa played a vital role in taking Twitch’s newly introduced Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches category to new heights, leading the category with 1.4 million hours watched in just four days.
A whopping 500,000 of the 1.4 million hours can be attributed to Amouranth’s stream alone. Twitch recently lumped the hot tub meta into its new Hot Tubs, and Beaches’ category, and allowed advertisers to opt-out if they aren’t willing to be associated with that kind of content.
Natalia ‘Alinity’ Mogollon recently speculated it could be an end to the meta and it appears that her prediction is coming true. Amouranth has hinted that she could be stopping them because she would lose revenue for not being able to show ads.

With the hot tub meta coming to an end, the new category is thriving due to an invasion of adorable rescued sea otters. Aside from that, Amouranth’s stream has been drawing a staggering amount of views.
Rainmaker.gg conducted a data report, revealing numbers that show that people have been over 1.4 million hours watching content on the ‘Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches’ category in the last four days.
ExoHydraX and Indiefoxx graced the list with about 100,000 hours between them, and MarineMammalRescue – a channel created by the veterinary hospital that started the sea otter stream craze.

However, Amouranth’s numbers surpassed the rest, with 500,000 hours watched. This is five times more than anyone else.
Although the tub meta is dead, it looks like these kinds of streams and the streamers who host them will continue garnering popularity among viewers. Amouranth’s unbelievable numbers are a testament to that.
On the downside, the potential profits are hampered because of advertisers refraining from being a part of it. But that is likely to change if few advertisers hop on board, which is quite possible.
