Twitch has banned Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa, who recently jumped on the ASMR bandwagon after the Amazon-owned platform pulled ads from her and a slew of other hot tub streamers.

With over a whopping 3 million followers on the platform, Amouranth is one of the most successful streamers on Twitch. Her average viewer count of people per stream is 16,000.

Her viewership skyrocketed during the controversial Hot Tub meta. Just days after moving to the latest ASMR trend, she has been banned after allegedly being mass reported, according to Dexerto.

While details about the duration of this ban are still scarce, Amouranth doesn’t seem to be taking the situation too seriously. “I’ve been banned on Twitch. 1 like = 1 second shorter ban,” she wrote in a June 19 tweet.

It can be recalled that she had some stern words when Twitch suspended ads on her channel. This suggests that she is not too surprised about it, especially since other ASMR streamers, including Indiefoxx, have been removed from the platform at the same time.

Popular streamers have shared their opinions about the new meta. Asmongold thinks the new meta was created because Twitch didn’t handle the Hot Tub meta well.

Video blogger Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar called the whole thing a joke, describing it as “incredibly baffling.” Mizkif said he couldn’t believe his eyes.
