Earlier this month, a video surfaced on social media showing a Cybercab manoeuvring around Giga, Texas, sparking interest among the electric vehicle community. The video was fascinating, showing the self-driving robotaxi operating autonomously without human intervention.

Longtime Tesla watcher Joe Tegtmeyer has confirmed that Tesla has been testing the Cybercab around the production site. Over the past few weeks, a Tesla observer has reported seeing Cybercab test drives along the length of the main Giga Texas building.
A Gamer’s Approach To Controlling The Cybercab
Interestingly, Tesla reportedly uses a modified gaming controller to take control of the Cybercab when necessary. Additionally, Tesla is conducting further testing on the Cybercab, including water ingress tests using a rainmaker at the west end-of-line facility and tests at various other sites around the Giga Texas complex.

Perhaps more significantly, the drone operator observed substantial manufacturing equipment accumulating in the Giga Texas plant’s staging lot, hinting at the potential establishment of a new production line soon.
