Valkyrae admitted that Pokimane was surprised when she found out the YouTube Gaming star was supporting xQc for his $100 million Kick deal.
According to Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, her fellow streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys was surprised when she admitted her support for Felix “xQc” Lengyel. In fact, the YouTube Queen congratulated the Canadian streamer for bagging a huge deal from Kick.
According to a report by The Sports Rush, xQc recently signed a deal worth $100 million with Kick. As expected, the deal garnered a lot of attention, with some netizens sharing their opinions about it. Pokimane, who recently said she’d never leave Twitch for joining Kick, criticized xQc for the big move.
Pokimane is shocked after Valkyrae shows her support for xQc
Valkyrae took xQc’s side instead of her friend Pokimane when someone asked about the drama. As expected, Pokimane was shocked.
“I had a discussion with Poki the other day, privately. I tweeted congrats to xQc and Kick because I think it’s like a win-win situation for both parties. She reached out, and she was like I was kind of surprised that you were publicly supporting it.”
To recap, Rae had transitioned from Twitch to YouTube for a better deal. She didn’t shy away from openly admitting it in an earlier video.
xQc reacts to Valkyrae’s comments
Poki said signing with Kick would be against her ethics and morals regardless of the amount. Valkyrae, on the other hand, told her viewers that “it is kind of a weird situation because the platform is run by crypto-gambling.
“It promotes crypto-gambling, which is the bad part. Long story short, I like gambling personally and it’s fine to do if you’re of age, you can afford to lose. The part that gets messy is if you are streaming it.”
xQc looked visibly annoyed after Valkyrae mentioned the crypto-gambling aspect of the entire matter. He reacted to the comments by holding his head down, and lightly hitting the desk. Fans on Reddit had their own take on the matter.
