Samsung Exynos W930 Chipset Bags Bluetooth SIG Certification

Samsung’s Exynos W930, which will reportedly power Galaxy Watch 6 has passed through the Bluetooth SIG certification website. The Galaxy Watch 6 series is likely to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 next month.

Notably, the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup could comprise the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, which made its appearance online in the form of leaked renders last month. The leaked renders suggest the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will sport a circular display and thick bezels.

The smartwatches from Samsung have also bagged the FCC certification. Now, more details about the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup have surfaced online courtesy of Bluetooth SIG certification. The Exynos W930 chipset was also spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website not long ago.

According to a report by MySmartPrice, the upcoming Exynos W920 successor will power Galaxy Watch 6 series. To those unaware, the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 5 series pack the Exynos W920 chipset under the hood.

The Exynos W930 chipset has the model number S5E5515, which also belongs to the W920 chipset. The report suggests the Exynos W930 could be a higher-clocked version of the current-gen chipset.

What else to expect?

The Bluetooth SIG listing suggests the Exynos W930 will support Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth v5.3 with a compatible RF chip. Moreover, the Galaxy Watch 6 could use a bigger battery to draw its juices. The Galaxy Watch 6 40mm will come with a 300mAh battery, while the 425mAh battery will be powering up the 44mm variant.

The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic models, on the other hand, will feature 300mAh and 425mAh battery units. Also, the Galaxy Watch 6 could support 10W wireless charging and 25W wired fast charging. Aside from this, the Classic model is expected to sport a 1.47-inch display with 470 x 470 pixels resolution.

Past leaks suggest the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic model will have a physical rotating bezel. The Home and Back buttons will be available on the right side. Reportedly, the Watch 6 Classic will be available for purchase in multiple strap options.
