Samsung Galaxy S22 Series To Launch At The Unpacked 2022 Event

The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event has been confirmed to take place next month.

Samsung has already revealed details about the Galaxy S22 series smartphones’ launch timeline. Moreover, the South Korean company is gearing up to host its Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event.

According to a blog post by Samsung Electronic’s President, TM Roh, the event will kick off in February 2022. However, the phone’s official launch date is still a mystery.

Much to the delight of those waiting to get their hands on the Galaxy S22 series smartphones, Samsung has divulged some key details.

Roh has confirmed that the new Galaxy S-series will feature an S Pen, which was previously available in the Galaxy Note series. Aside from that, past leaks suggest that the Galaxy S22 series will launch on February 9. There is a possibility that the flagship Galaxy S22 series could go official at the impending Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event.

The South Korean tech company will be hosting its Unpacked 2022 event next month. However, Samsung is still mum on the official date. If rumors making the rounds online prove to be true, the event will kick off on February 9.

According to Roh, Samsung will announce its “noteworthy S series devices” at the event. Furthermore, the event will mark the return of the S Pen. The lineup will boast pro-grade cameras, in terms of photography.

The Galaxy S22 series phones will reportedly include three models. The top-end S22 Ultra model is likely to adopt a Galaxy Note-like design.. The bottom will house an S Pen slot. Moreover, the phone will sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

For optics, the handset will boast four cameras at the back, featuring a 108MP main camera. Aside from that, the upcoming lineup will comprise the S22 Plus and the vanilla S22 models.

The aforesaid model variants will retain the design of their predecessors. The rear panel will feature a 50MP main camera, as part of a triple camera setup. The three Samsung phones will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and Exynos 2200 SoC based on the region of launch.

The Ultra model will use a 5000 mAh battery, while the vanilla S22 will be backed by a 4000mAh cell. The battery will support 45W fast charging. More details about the upcoming event are likely to surface online in the coming days.
