Epic Esports will be hosting Dota 2 Champions League Season 7, which kicks off on January 24, with Gambit Esports, Virtus.pro, and more going toe-to-toe over the next few weeks.
Epic Esports Events is cashing in on the cancelation of Valve’s 2022 Dota Pro Circuit Winter Tour Major. Aside from that, it will host the Winline Dota 2 Champions League Season Seven.
Starting from January 24 to February 17, fourteen teams from across Eastern and Western Europe will be locking horns for a share of the $50,000 prize pool. However, most of the roster has been taken up by CIS representation.

The group stage comprises teams that will compete against each other for points. According to a report by DotEsports, teams that manage to collect the most points will move on to the playoff stage.

In the next stage, matches will transition into a best-of-three format in a double-elimination category. Epic Esports has already announced 13 of the 14 teams slated to compete in the event.
These include big names like AS Monaco Gambit, Virtus.pro, and standout stacks from the DPC’s Winter Tour. The final spot will be decided through an open qualifier later this week. You can check out the full D2CL seventh season lineup below.
